Why My Word of the Year for 2025 is “Open” (And How You Can Choose Yours)
How “OPEN” Became My Word for 2025
I started choosing a “word of the year” back in my days as an independent sales rep. during an annual goal setting exercise.
I carried the habit forward into my next phase because I like having a value focused theme, as a lens through which I view my life and business, for a 12 month period.
Aligning Projects, Habits, and Goals with Your Word
I evaluate new projects to see if they align with my word. I decide if habits and activities do too. If you are new to choosing a word of the year, there are various techniques online that you can use to help you choose a word to fit with the values and goals you set each year.
I have reached a point where I like my word to come to me, often when I least expect it, as it did recently when I was meditating. The word OPEN, popped to mind and I immediately knew it was the one for 2025.
For 2025, I’m OPEN….
To new opportunities
To healing
For business
To abundance
To receiving
For adventure
To feeling all the emotions
To letting go, and allowing things unfold
To receiving
To serving
To learning
To growth
To love in all its forms
To blessings and challenges
To releasing expectations
To releasing doubts and fears
To meeting the people I need to meet
To sharing my skills, experience and expertise
To fun, adventure and play
To whatever is meant for me
To success beyond my wildest imagination
I’ll keep adding to this list as the year unfolds, but for now, I’m leaning into what it means to be truly OPEN.
